A man who wears pink.
There’s something to be said about a man who wears pink. Not because pink is for girls and blue is for boys. Not because the identity of his very manhood is questioned before he even decides to wear it or because the nature of this society is to group us all into labels and men who wear pink just aren’t real men.
No, that’s not it.
There’s something to be said about a man who wears pink, a man who is so secure in himself that he challenges the very boundaries that were put in place to keep him one dimensional and limited to a societal norm that contradicts the very existence of his entire being.
There’s something to be said about a man who can stand proudly and acknowledge all of who he is no matter the ridicule he may face because no one’s opinion dictates his manhood or lessens his value.
There’s something to be said about a man who wears pink, a man who doesn’t hesitate or withdraw his light to make the people around him more comfortable, a man who doesn’t shy away from his commitments because of his fear of rejection from the people who claim to love and support him. A man who follows his heart and trusts his spirit to take him through the uncharted waters that lead him to his destiny. His life’s purpose.
There’s something to be said about a man who wears pink, the kind of man who stands boldly in his truths, with honesty, conviction, and transparency, for he is amongst the leaders and the rule breakers, and they are the ones who explode the molds and tear through glass ceilings. They are the men who understand that masculinity and femininity are equal in power and vulnerability is a pathway to a true existence.
For a man who wears pink understands that in order to fully protect and provide he must first be willing to expand beyond the bare minimum and exceed in his life’s purpose no matter which road he might have to travel. For he knows that greatness is achieved not by mediocrity and a sunken disposition, but by standing chest forward, shoulders squared, back straight, feet planted, and head high in his fullness, so that the world may see, EVERYTHING God has called him to be.
There’s something so special to be said about a man who wears pink, for he is brave, he is Divine, a man who understands that Love is Infinite, if only he can be bold enough to FULLY LOVE HIMSELF, ALL OF HIMSELF first, because that man is a rare find and he should always stand out in a crowd, towering mightily in his goodness. For he is favored, because he knows what it takes to truly be A MAN.
